For my ancillary tasks, I chose to create a digipak and website. I felt that it was important to make sure that there is a link between the ancillaries and main media product whether it was through the use of colour schemes, fonts or pictures to create a type of brand identity when it came to creating an image for the artist. This meant that I would be able to create a brand identity for my artist by using the colour schemes and photos to represent Sparro's genre and his style/image.
For example, the two pictures below are a screenshot of the homepage to my website and a picture of a draft of my album cover. As you can see, I've used very similar colour schemes, if not the exact same, to link the two ancillaries together. For my website, I've used a blacked out starry background to reflect the theme of not only the album cover, but the music video also. I also featured a picture of the album cover on the homepage of the website as a form of promotion to sell the digipak to the audience. I also kept the font type and colour the same for both the album cover and website to keep the colour scheme running throughout, and to make the font clearly stand out against the black background.
As we can also see in the pictures above, we've tried to show Sparro's image as clearly as possible to the audience by using close up shots of Eoghain throughout the music video and as the main image on the front of my digipak. This allows Eoghain to become easily identifiable to the audience.
Below is another screenshot from my homepage, which features a snapshot of my digipak album cover and a countdown to the release of the album. Featuring this on the website is a good form of promotion as it gives fans and viewers the accessibility they need to buy the album, all they have to do is click the link.
I felt it was also important to feature the music video on my website as its a good form or promotion and helps receive as many views as possible to generate a buzz around the new single. It also allows viewers of the site to watch Sparro in action and get a better idea of his personal style and genre, whilst also familiarizing themselves with the single.
I also made sure to include images of the female character on the website as she is a main element in the music video, so I wanted to make sure there was a reference to her somewhere on the site where the audience could see images of her and become intrigued to how she was linked to the artist, and then watch the music video.

Some good ideas here that need a bit more detail. Pick up on the 'promotional package' aspect of the task and therefore how the combination of the tasks can help you sell, market and distribute.
